Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging 19.5 million children across 68 countries.
It’s main vision is to empower and inspire young people to make positive environmental changes to their school and wider community, while building on their key skills, including numeracy and literacy, and encompassing Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship.
Recently, the Eco School crew have been working hard to develop the school’s garden. We were lucky to receive the ‘Bags for life Grant’ from Tesco and we held a competition to name our wonderful new learning area – ‘Yr Ardderchog’.
We are extremely thankful for all the support we received from members of the Llangybi ‘Young Farmers club’ , parents and friends of the school who all made it possible during the project and beyond.
